Is it possible for my daughters to have a Mickey Check Entrée and a normal child's dessert rather than a fruit pot/yoghurt?

Hi Claire and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The Mickey Check debuted back in 2012 / 2013 at the Walt Disney World Resort as part of the Disney Magic of Healthy Living initiative. In order to receive the Mickey Check, kids’ meals and other items must meet Disney Nutrition Guidelines.

Kids’ Complete Meals must include at least three of the following food groups: fruits and vegetables; low-fat dairy; whole grains; or lean protein, beans, eggs and nuts.

At lunch at Be Our Guest Restaurant, the kids’ meals choices include Mickey turkey meatloaf, a carved turkey sandwich and whole-grain macaroni. To meet Disney Nutrition Guidelines, kids’ complete meals must be ordered with no substitutions.

That being said, according to the kids' menu on the unofficial website www.allears.net (which was last updated in January 2016), some items may be substituted upon request.

My best advice to you would be to ask your server when you are ordering your meal if it is possible for your daughters to have their desired choices from the kids' menu.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
