Welcome to planDisney, Reggie! I'm so glad you found us and I'll be delighted to help with your question, today.
I totally understand the importance of flexibility in your Disney vacation planing and thankfully, the option to change your theme park reservation is fairly straightforward. Let's walk through some of the things you'll want to keep in mind as you proceed with changing the date of your visit.
First, you'll want to consider the type of ticket you purchased. For example, if you currently have a
1-day theme park ticket, you'll notice that these ticket types correspond with a Tier, based on the date you originally chose for your visit. Your ticket will be valid for any date not currently blocked out in the existing Tier. So, as long as your new date falls within the valid dates for use or your original Tier (or lower Tiers), you'll be just fine to change the park reservation to that date! However, if your new date for your visit is blocked out, you'll need to upgrade your ticket to a higher ticket Tier so that you can continue planning your future visit. In this case, I recommend
calling the Tickets line to speak with a Cast Member who should be able to assist you with the ticket upgrade. If you currently hold a multi-day ticket, they are not dated, so you'll have no problem changing the date of your theme park reservation.
Multi-day tickets must be used within 13 days of their first use, or by their stated expiration date.
To modify your theme park reservation date, simply log in to your Disney account and select "My Plans" where all your currently-held reservations will be displayed. You should see the date of your originally intended visit and the button to "Manage Reservation." Once you click on this, the next page will bring up additional options to "Modify Reservation" or "Cancel Reservation" and in your case, you would likely choose to modify to a new date. Then you should be able to see park reservation availability on the Calendar, select your modified date, and follow the next steps to confirm the change in plans! If you still have some technical issues with this process, please feel welcome to
call and speak with a Cast Member for assistance.
I hope this is a helpful start, Reggie. There is so much magic awaiting you in
Disneyland Resort this holiday season, so I hope you're able to secure your plans to visit when the time is right for you. If we can help with anything else in the meantime, please come back and see us again here at
planDisney. Enjoy every moment of the merriest time of year!
Magically yours,
Tishra
