Myles from UT Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Is it possible to change which park I start in on a ticket that I have already made a reservation for?

Hi Myles! Welcome to planDisney. I can see that you are heading to the Happiest Place on Earth in just 10 days! This is such an exciting time, and I'm sure you are eager to get all your cards aligned ... including the Queen of Hearts! Let's take a spin in a teacup to find your answer and get you on your way.

There's no need for us to fall down the rabbit hole with Alice on this one! The short answer is YES, provided there is availability! First things first, let's check the theme park reservation calendar to see if your preferred park is open for reservations on October 11th. There is currently no way to modify an existing reservation, so to make changes you will need to cancel your original and book a brand new one. With this system, I always like to check the calendar before making any changes ... you don't want to be left out in the cold like Tweedle Dee and Tweddle Dum! When you are looking at the calendar, be sure to toggle to "Park Hopper Ticket Guests". This calendar may differ from the "1 Park Per Day Guest" calendar as they each have their own set of reservations. As of this moment, both parks are open for the 11th! This can change on a dime as the calendar updates live to Guests making and changing plans. If it still looks clear when you take a peek, then it's time to break out your fast fingers and make the change:

    1. First, you are going to head into your mobile app, tap the "+" in the bottom navigation bar, and select "Make a Park Reservation".
    2. Once on this next page, tap "View My Park Reservations" and scroll to the date you want to change. Select "Cancel Reservation" and follow the prompts all the way through until you get to the "Done" button and receive a cancellation confirmation.
    3. The system should return you back to the "My Theme Park Reservations" page where you can now select "Book Theme Park Reservations". You are starting the process from scratch, so you will again select the Guests you are making a reservation for and then head to the calendar.
    4. Select your date and new starting park and off you go!
Like the Mad Hatter setting his table for a very merry unbirthday, it sounds like you like to plan out your days ahead of time! With the happy haunts of Halloween Time in full swing for your visit, you might want to take a look at the Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide to map out some sweets and treats for your must-try list! I also love to take a look at the Entertainment Schedule as it can be different on weekdays and weekends this time of year. Halloween Screams will be lighting up the night at Disneyland Park with projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle during the week and the added bonus of fireworks on the weekends! I also recommend arriving early to get a picture with the iconic giant Mickey pumpkin at the top of Main Street, U.S.A.!

You are truly in for such a treat, Myles! The March Hare has just alerted us that our teacup is coming to a stop. If you have any more questions about your trip, please feel free to reach out to us here at planDisney!

    Stay curious!
