Hi Kay,
Welcome back to planDisney and thank you for asking us another excellent question, my fellow international traveller!
When I visit Walt Disney World Resort with my little guy, I typically like to let him plan at least one day of our vacation, from start to finish. While he typically sticks to the plan, including Theme Park Reservations and Disney Dining Reservations, that we made before leaving home, sometimes he wants to deviate from what we already have planned. This often happens if there’s a new attraction that strikes his fancy. For example, during our last visit, he absolutely fell in love with
Slinky Dog Dash (he wasn’t much of a roller coaster kid before that trip) and wanted to visit
Disney’s Hollywood Studios every chance we got!
I’m happy to say that, if there is availability at another Theme Park that you’d prefer to visit, it’s relatively simple to change a
Theme Park Reservation before you start your Disney Day. Just go into your
My Disney Experience account and select “Modify Reservation”, then, you should be able to modify a single reservation for yourself and any other members of your party. If you have any trouble making this switch, your Lobby Concierge should be able to help you (if you’re staying “on property” at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel) or
Guest Relations at any Theme Park entrance.
I hope my answer helps you put a little bit of flexibility back into your holiday! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
