John from MS Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Is it possible to change our Disney rewards CC to a different type of reward program? As our children have gotten older they haven’t been as interested in going and looking for ways to maximize our rewards. Thanks

Hey Howdy Hey John and welcome to planDisney!

The partnership with Disney and Chase Bank to provide us with the Disney Premier Credit Card and the rewards program has been something that many people take advantage of. Building up rewards points for standard purchases and then having the option to use those points on vacation is one of many ways to help pay for such a Magical trip! I understand as your kids age you might be looking into some form of variation away from the standard Disney trips so let's talk about options.

The big thing to note with regards to this credit card is that it is the result of a partnership between Chase and Disney. Chase is ultimately the company that controls the credit card and the rewards program. If you are looking for a card that has a completely different rewards program, one other than Disney rewards, you might want to look into your options over at Chase. They may be able to switch your credit card to another of the many options they have available for a product that might fit your needs.

Now the next question would be around the points you may already have. If you did have points already built up since your last trip to Walt Disney World Resort, you do have some options. An adults-only trip is always my top advice. Going to Walt Disney World during EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival is one that I highly recommend! Taking your time to enjoy all the food and drink offerings throughout the park as well as taking in a show with Eat to the Beat Concert Series is a great way to experience the park in a new way.

You can also take advantage of the many offerings outside of the parks and enjoy your resort more as well as do a little resort hopping. Disney has many golf courses that they are well known for including the Magnolia Golf Course and Palm Golf Course. Taking some time to see the resort from a different perspective is one way to enjoy your options. You can even check out all that is offered over at The Grand Floridian Spa. So many ways to experience the next level of a Disney vacation without visiting the parks!

If you wanted to look into a different place altogether, you could even look into Disney's Vero Beach Resort and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. All the quality experiences you would expect from Disney in very different locations. So many different amenities and scenery and a different way to use those Disney Rewards points!

Hopefully, now you have some options on what to do from here with your credit card as well as how to use your points you may already have. If you do have any further questions please feel free to let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Nick
