Is it at all possible to change my credit card on file over to my name when I renew pay magic key pass? When purchasing my pass my husband purchased it under my account but with his card. I was told I can’t change the card on file unless it’s under his nan

From one Magic Key holder to another, a warm welcome to planDisney, Alexandra! It's a small world, after all! It's fantastic that you're planning ahead; you're clearly ready to go the distance like Hercules when it comes to Disney preparations!

You've asked a great question about updating those all-important payment methods. I'm happy to tell you that changing your payment method is easier than finding Nemo (and a lot less stressful for Marlin!). You can do this at any time, not just during your Magic Key renewal window.

Since your Magic Key pass is already linked to your own Disney account, you’re already one step ahead! Whether you prefer using the Disneyland mobile app or the Disneyland website, the process is quite simple.

If you're navigating the app, begin by tapping the menu button—those three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner. Scroll down to the "Account" section and tap on "My Profile". Next, tap the "Payment Method" button. From there, select "Add a Payment Method," and, with a touch of Disney magic (and your card details!), your card will be added. Once you see your card in your account, you can also tap "Make Default" to make it your primary payment method.

Using the Disneyland website instead? No problem! If you're already logged in, you'll see a friendly "Welcome, Alexandra!" at the top. If not, you’ll see "Log In or Create Account". Click that link to access your account profile and locate the "Payment Methods" button in the left-hand menu. (You may need to confirm your identity by logging in again). Then, click "Add a Payment Method" to enter your card details. Presto! Your card is now part of your Disney domain.

Now, your card is ready for action, whether you're making mobile food and beverage orders or securing some amazing merchandise through mobile checkout. And because your Magic Key is linked, those delightful discounts should apply “automagically”!

A quick reminder, Alexandra, when enjoying your Magic Key discount at shops and restaurants throughout the Disneyland Resort: If you’re paying with a credit or debit card, be sure the card has your name on it. The name on the card must match the name on your Magic Key pass to unlock the savings.

I hope this is helpful, Alexandra! Now you can get back to planning your next magical visit to the Disneyland Resort! If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to let us know. We're here to help you navigate your Disney adventure. Have a magical day!
