    Is it possible to buy tickets at the gate and be able to enter the park that same day if the tickets online are sold out for the day?

    Hello, Karina,

    At this time each Guest of the Disneyland Resort theme parks must have both valid theme park admission and a theme park reservation. So, while it is possible to purchase theme park tickets in person at the main entrance ticket booths, a park reservation must still be booked in order to use that ticket. Whether a park ticket is purchased online, using the Disneyland mobile app, or in person at the Disneyland Resort, a park reservation must be secured from the same pool of reservations available for that ticket type. Since the ticket purchase process online or in the mobile app blends the steps of buying a ticket and booking a park reservation, I highly recommend one of these two advanced purchase methods. It is more convenient and it helps to ensure you already have a park reservation before stopping by the park risking not knowing whether a reservation might be available after purchasing a ticket.

    So what are we to do if we find that reservations appear to be gone for a given day? I’ve got a few tips that I hope will help out.

    1. Keep checking the theme park reservation availability calendar. It’s not uncommon to find reservations become available for a given date that previously showed none. When other Guests need to change their plans, their canceled reservations may become available for you to book.
    2. Look at different ticket types: one park per day tickets and Park Hopper tickets. Sometimes you may see reservations are gone for one type but available for the other type.
    3. I understand it’s hard when we have our hearts set on going to the Disneyland Resort on a particular date. But if you happen to have some flexibility in your schedule, you might consider other dates that may still have reservation availability.
    4. If you have booked a stay at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, try booking your park reservations through the "My Hotel Reservations" page. That will allow you to access theme park reservations exclusively for hotel Guests, which may still have availability when other pools of reservations are depleted.
