Hello, Matthew,
Yes, theme park tickets purchased in person at the Disneyland Resort ticket booths are not tied to a specific date. And
theme park reservations will still need to be booked for those tickets for the desired date. For that reason, it is strongly recommended that tickets are purchased
online or in the
Disneyland mobile app. Unless you wish to make your ticket purchase using cash, you will almost certainly have a better overall experience and less waiting by buying online or using the Disneyland app. If you are gifting tickets, you can even have the
Disney eTickets sent to the email address of the intended recipient.
Online and in-app ticket purchases have the advantage of having that park reservation booked at the same time as the purchase. Even then, you won’t need to worry about the reservation date being set in stone. By visiting the "
My Theme Park Reservations" page online, you can cancel an existing park reservation and book a new reservation for another date. The purchased ticket will remain linked to your account until it expires or is fully used, even if a park reservation is canceled. As long as there is
availability and the ticket is still valid for a new date, a new park reservation can be made for that date.
I hope that helps as you make plans to visit the Disneyland Resort, Matthew. It is certainly a special time to visit. With the
Disney100 Celebration starting up later this month, there is so much to look forward to. I’m especially excited about the debut of
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. I think
Mickey’s Toontown is the perfect location for this amazing attraction.
If you have any more questions for us at planDisney, Matthew, we’re happy to provide any assistance we can to help make your Disneyland Parks dreams come true.
See you real soon!
