Hi Kaylyn! Welcome to planDisney! It looks like you are planning a trip for this coming fall, which is such an incredible time of year to visit. Be sure to leave some room in your luggage as some happy haunts will likely be following you home. You will be there in time to catch the last few days of
Halloween Time festivities! There is nothing like
Haunted Mansion Holiday to usher you from the spooks and ghouls of Halloween to the merriment and holly jolly of Christmas!
At this time, when
purchasing theme park tickets directly from the Disneyland Resort website, you will be prompted to make a
theme park reservation as part of the check-out process. No need to worry though if you aren't quite ready to lock those in! If you need to make changes, you can cancel and reschedule reservations as needed. Reservations are subject to availability, so I always check the
reservations calendar before making any changes to be sure my preferred park is available on my preferred day. If it's not, just know that Guests are always modifying their plans and dates may open up!
To cancel, you can log into your account on the
Disneyland Resort website and navigate to "My Disneyland". Click into "Theme Park Tickets and Reservations" and scroll to "View My Park Reservations". On that page, you will see all of the reservations you currently have. Simply click on "Cancel Reservation" for the date you'd like to change to start the process. The next step will be to choose which Guests you are canceling for, if you have family or friends linked to your account, and then you will confirm the cancellation. Once that is complete, it will take you to the beginning where you can rebook a new reservation.
In planning your visit, let's put a few stars on your calendar of dates to remember. Theme park tickets are available for purchase 120 days from your arrival. For a trip in late October, you will be able to purchase tickets and make reservations at the end of June.
Dining reservations will open up to you 60 days ahead of arrival. You'll want to make a few of these as these can fill up quickly. That being said, I am so excited to try the new
Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability option the next time I'm in the parks. If you aren't able to grab a coveted reservation, select table-service restaurants may have same-day availability. Once you are in the parks, you can see which restaurants have openings that day and add your name to a waitlist. You'll receive a notification if and when a table becomes available without having to stand and wait!
Well, Kaylyn, I hope you found this helpful in your planning! I know it was a lot to take in, so if you have any more questions please come back to see us at
planDisney!
Magic awaits!
