Hi Ashleigh,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. Mickey Mouse balloons are such iconic Walt Disney World souvenirs, and I will never get enough of the view down Main Street, U.S.A. in
Magic Kingdom Park with Cinderella Castle in the background and a bunch of colorful Mickey balloons in the foreground. Pure magic.
Ashleigh, I am
so curious as to what your plan is for all those balloons. Do you have a large group and you’re planning to give one to each member? Do you have a magical photo shoot in mind, maybe one inspired by Up? My fellow Moms Panelist Kristen N. wondered if you were planning to play Fairy Godmother and walk around the park handing them out to well-behaved children? So many pixie-dusted possibilities! I hope you’ll come back and let us know, or tweet us a picture @DisneyMoms!
I checked with a Cast Member and you should not have a problem purchasing 20 Mickey balloons in Magic Kingdom Park. I do have a couple of logistical tips for you:
-If it’s a photo you are looking for, you can usually ask the Balloon seller if you can get a picture holding the balloons.
-Balloon vendors only accept cash – but if you head down the little side street on Main Street, U.S.A. where the silhouette artist is, you can pay that vendor for your balloon purchase using a credit card.
-Balloons are currently $9 - $15, depending on the style you choose.
Here’s a fun look at the
skill it takes to inflate those special balloons, with a great tip at the end that is sure to come in handy for your visit.
I’m wishing you so much balloon magic, and a magical vacation,
Robyn
