The 25% off rooms at select Disney Resort hotels and the 4-Park Magic Ticket is an amazing promotion. You can certainly purchase your theme park tickets separately and then link them and your resort to your My Disney Experience account (separately). I have purchased theme park tickets separate from my Disney resort reservations several times, and everything was accessible with no issues. Be sure to use the same My Disney Experience account to purchase both the resort and theme park tickets.
