Hi Lee Ann! Welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with this great question! My favorite aspect of a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is the Disney Resorts hotels. With each one being themed differently, you will get a new experience with each visit.
You can certainly book two
Disney Resorts hotels for your upcoming trip as this is considered a split stay. However, you will need to book this as two different reservations. Essentially, you can book the first part of your stay at one resort and include your park tickets with this reservation. Then, you can book a room-only reservation for the remaining days at the moderate resort. Each reservation will require an initial deposit and the balances will be due 30 days before you arrive at each resort. This is the perfect way to get multiple resort experiences during one trip and change up the flow of your vacation.
A few things to keep in mind when booking your stay this way. Disney will transfer your luggage from one resort to the next. On your first checkout day, bring your bags to Bell Services and they will handle the transfer for you. When you arrive at the new resort later in the day, let Bell Services know you are there and they will bring your luggage to your new room. The other big thing of note is
Advanced Dining Reservations. You'll only be able to book dining reservations 60 days in advance for the entire length of the first resort reservation. You'll need to wait until 60 days in advance of your second check-in day to book your remaining reservations.
Lee Ann, you have a great plan in place for your upcoming trip! Saving the moderate resort for the end will be a great way to end your stay! If you have any additional planning questions,
please reach back out at any time!
Happy planning!
