Hi there, Nancy!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love seeing a fellow Texan here and am happy you found us while planning for a Disney Cruise Line vacation! With so many onboard activities and entertainment as well as wonderful stops at ports of call, you really
get it all with a Disney Cruise Line vacation!
When booking a Disney Cruise Line vacation, you will be asked to provide a credit card for your deposit and payment. This can be a prepaid card as long as it has a major credit card logo on it such as Visa or Mastercard. Additionally, when you complete your Online Check-In prior to your sailing, you will also need to provide a form of payment with a logo for onboard purchases and charges. Make sure you are aware if your prepaid card has a daily spending limit prior to planning on using it to make your reservation!
Additional purchases that you may want to consider or take into account when planning or budgeting for a Disney Cruise Line vacation include onboard bar service,
Port Adventure excursions, gratuities and onboard extras including the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or Senses Spa! You do have the option of paying with cash once onboard and you can go to Guest Services to take care of this when you arrive on the ship. Your Key to the World Card will still be used for making purchases onboard, but the account can be settled with cash periodically throughout your time at sea or at the end of your sailing.
As you continue planning or researching, please feel free to come back with any additional questions you have as we are here to help!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
