Is it possible to book a character dining but not choose an entree? I don't generally eat breakfast, but I wouldn't mind having a drink while my kids eat their breakfasts with the characters. We are looking at Topolino's Terrace breakfast.

    Bonjour Kimberly!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends is a magnifique experience.

The view from the rooftop of Disney’s Riviera Resort is absolutely stunning. Not to mention all of your favorite pals will be dressed in stylish outfits that are unique to Topolino’s Terrace- Flavors of the Riviera!

Character Dining is a tradition for my family, we love to dine and enjoy some personal interaction time with our favorite Characters. I understand that you might not be a breakfast person who normally eats, but let me tell you my kids are breakfast people who actually don’t eat at a Character meal. It is so funny to me that they will not eat, they love breakfast! Even though they don’t eat their meals, we still pay for them since Character dining is considered entertainment.  Your party will be charged for every person in the group because of the Character entertainment and interactions you will experience with them. Just think of the time you are saving at the theme parks by meeting and greeting them during breakfast though!

I suggest checking out the menu before arriving so that you can find something you might enjoy more than traditional breakfast platters. You would be surprised at the selections offered! When I dined there in December I enjoyed the delicious Sour Cream Waffles, while my sweet fellow panelist enjoyed the Wood-fired Butchers Steak! (Tip: Breakfast runs until 11:00 a.m. so if you don’t want to eat so early, you could always reserve the latest breakfast time so that the meal time frame can feel more like an early lunch).

    Bon appétit!
