Hi there, Maria Ines! Welcome to planDisney where my pals and I are so happy to see you sail our way.
I love the question you asked because the special holiday sailings,
Halloween on the High Seas and
Very Merrytime, are my absolute favorite Disney Cruises to take! There's just something so fun about the decor, whether spooky or sparkling and the themed entertainment offered throughout the sailing. Want to trick or treat and meet Mickey and the gang in their adorable Halloween costumes? Perhaps decorate gingerbread cookies and tell Santa Claus himself how you've been extra nice? These Disney Cruises provide the opportunity for that extra holiday magic!
I took a peek at the sailing schedules for all of the Disney Cruise ships and noticed that there is at least one sailing that is not holiday-themed between the last Halloween on the High Seas sailing and the first Very Merrytime sailing. However, if you have some extended vacation time, I have a great recommendation on how you can check both off of your list!
You could consider booking the final Halloween on the High Seas 4-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral on the
Disney Wish on October 30 and the first Very Merrytime Sailing on the Disney Wish on November 6. While these are not back-to-back cruises, you could spend the three nights between the two sailings in a very magical place within about an hour of Port Canaveral...
Walt Disney World! This is called a
Land and Sea Vacation and it combines two of my favorite things.
You can book
ground transportation through Disney Cruise Line to and from Port Canaveral to a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel for an easy way to enjoy some time on land between your sailings. You'll be able to spend your time visiting any of the four theme parks, shopping and dining in
Disney Springs, or relaxing at an incredible resort! My family couldn't get enough of
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge last summer. There is nothing like waking up to see animals grazing with a Savanna View. If you chose Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge you'd have quite a variety of views on a trip like this between animals and the ocean!
Sail back to planDisney if you have any further questions. It's a pleasure to help!
