Bonjour, Matthew! Welcome to planDisney!
EPCOT may stand for “Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow," but with all its amazing food options, I think you could argue that “Eating Perfect Cuisine, Obviously Terrific” is another appropriate definition.
I don’t blame your mother for loving the baguettes from
Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie. It’s one of the best snacks at Walt Disney World, and there are so many other delicious options on the Les Halles menu. Unfortunately, the Les Halles baguettes are only available in EPCOT, and you need a valid theme park ticket to enter the park.
There are some other French-inspired options outside of the theme parks, and while they don’t have the same offerings as Les Halles, you won’t need a theme park ticket to visit.
Le Petit Café at Disney’s Riviera Resort offers a wide array of pastries and treats, including croissants, madeleines, macarons, and more. There is
Amorette's Patisserie at Disney Springs, which is more focused on cakes, but there are other French favorites on the menu as well. Closer to EPCOT, but not exactly French-inspired, is the
Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. The dinner menu has multiple items that come with a toasted half French baguette, including the French Onion Soup, Blackberry Avocado Salade, and Pesto Burrata.
I know this isn't the news you wanted, Matthew, but I hope you find this info helpful. Don’t hesitate to come back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
