Is it possible to AVOID running into the Dress - up characters. My daughter has a fear of the oversized, face covered characters (also called MASKLOPHOBIA), and I am trying to figure out a way to avoid seeing them. Thanks

Hi, Navin!   To avoid the masked characters, avoid the following:

    -Any of the parades
    -Character Dining
    -Fantasmic!
    -Character Meet & Greets

Although animatronic, be aware that there are "characters" on some of the attractions - Splash Mountain, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, and others.   If you have any questions about what will be in an attraction, ask the cast member who stands at the beginning of the queue.

Your daughter will probably still enjoy the Magic Kingdom fireworks, Illuminations at Epcot, many of the attractions, and non-character dining.

There will be some characters out in the open who will be stationed for guest Meet and Greets, but they will not approach her, and you will see a line of people so you can do your best to avoid  that area.

    Best of luck to you!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
