Greetings, Desirae, and welcome to planDisney! The Haunted Mansion is such a fun addition to any Disneyland Park visit. Happy haunts, a spirited séance room, a musical graveyard, and more await. Of course, a big part of that is riding in the Doom Buggy!
The
Haunted Mansion uses a continuous loading system, where Guests step into their Doom Buggy as it slowly moves along the boarding area. The attraction can accommodate Guests with mobility needs. You'll want to speak with a Cast Member at the attraction to discuss your mom's need for more time to board. The Cast Members at the front porch area (just before you go inside) should be able to provide guidance or instructions. Make sure to say hello to Madame Leota, the Hatbox Ghost, Constance Hatchaway, and others as you go on your eerie tour!
Did you know that the Disneyland website has a section with helpful information for
Guests with mobility needs? Take a peek to see if there's anything there that may be useful for your mom. If, at any point in the visit, she decides that she'd prefer to
use a Wheelchair or Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV), you can rent one from the location to the side of the main entrance.
You chose a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort – the
70th Celebration is back in full swing, and the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival just kicked off. Check out the
Hours & Events Calendar to learn when to expect parades, atmosphere entertainment, nighttime spectaculars, and more.
Desirae, I hope your visit to Disneyland is full of happy moments. If you have any questions while you're in the park, you can stop by a
Guest Relations location or use the chat feature in the
Disneyland mobile app. Of course, you're also welcome to reach out to us at planDisney – we're happy to help!
Sprinkling pixie dust for you,
Kriss
