is it possible to arrange for a person to take part on the disney floats and if so is there an age limit thanks

Hi Lynn!  I am assuming you are asking about participation in the Disney parades in the theme parks.  At times families will be chosen to ride in cars to head the parades through the parks.  This is strictly a random selection and it is basically being at the right time at the right place.  About 25 years ago I wrote a letter asking if my parents who were celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary could be grand marshals for the Magic Kingdom parade.  Surprisingly they were selected from my letter and it was quite an exciting time for the entire family.  However, as more and more families wished to have a part in the parades this practice had to end.  Everything is done through random selection now.

If you have been a volunteer for the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day program you might be selected to be a part of that section of the Magic Kingdom parade when using your free park ticket.  There is another parade in the Magic Kingdom called the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Street Party.  This happens daily about three times.....11am, 12:30pm, and 5:40pm. (Check the Times Guide when you enter the park for current times).  This parade will stop in front of the castle and the characters will get off the floats and encourage all children to come into the streets to dance with them.  There is no age limit for this although with the little ones be careful they aren't run over by the excited adults!
