Hello Dave!
Welcome again to planDisney! I am so honored to be able to help you plan your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort!
The
Disability Access Service (DAS) program is a great way to help individuals who have difficulty waiting in an extended or traditional queue due to a disability. I love that it's free and a compassionate option for guests who need it. There is a way to register for this service before you arrive but unfortunately, it is not available to guests outside of the United States. It is called DAS Advance and it is supposed to be within 30 to 2 days of your park visit. If you are arriving in that window to the United States then
head over here to register. This link will not work until you arrive in the United States. You will have to log into your My Disney Experience Account and be on a device that has a camera and microphone. You will click on the option to "Request Live Video Chat" and wait till a Cast Member becomes available. This can be a short wait or a long wait. I have found that friends of mine had success early in the morning as the chat is available starting at 7:00 AM Eastern Time. Make sure the member of your party who needs this service is present with you. If your timing doesn't work out to pre-register, then your only option is to visit
Guest Relations as soon as you enter your first park. They will set you up for your entire trip after a brief interview.
Make sure during your visit to enjoy the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts which begins on January 12, 2024. It is such a lovely festival filled with color and delicious food. I still think about the pimiento cheese grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and fried green tomato at
Pop Eats- Near Port of Entry.
I hope this helps and if you have any questions please feel free to
let me know!
Happy Planning!
