Is it possible to add guests to your hotel reservation, even if they have their own park tickets? Will there be a fee to add them?

    Hi Christine,

Imagine, the sun peeking over Cinderella Castle, laughter echoing through Main Street, U.S.A., and your closest friends by your side. There’s something truly magical about having friends join you for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It’s the promise of endless fun, cherished memories, and the magic of friendship, I know for sure that a Walt Disney World getaway with friends is an experience like no other.

Now, let me tell you, the perks of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel are as delightful as Mickey-shaped waffles. From the convenience of being just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the parks to the extra sprinkle of magic with Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests and Complimentary Resort Transportation your stay is sure to be unforgettable.

Depending on what type of reservation you have, adding guests to your stay at the Walt Disney World Resort hotel is sometimes as easy as sprinkling pixie dust! If you currently have a room only reservation, whether your pals come equipped with their own park tickets or simply bring their boundless enthusiasm for adventure, accommodating them is often a breeze. When it comes to adding extra guests to your cozy abode for room only reservations, it's typically smooth sailing. If you've got a room for two, fear not! You can often welcome additional children (up to the room's maximum capacity) without an extra fee. However, if you're looking to expand the adult party, there will be a nominal fee involved. But hey, what's a bit of extra magic worth, right?

If you're currently booked with a vacation package, including a Resort hotel room, Theme Park Tickets, and perhaps a Disney Dining Plan, adding extra guests can be a bit trickier. When adding guests to reservations that are part of a vacation package, each guest in the room must purchase the same package. This means that if you have a room and ticket reservation, your friends will need to chip in for their portion of the room and tickets. It's important to note that they wouldn't be able to skip purchasing tickets just because they already have them; the package deal applies to all occupants of the room.

For the nitty-gritty details and a personalized updated quote, I highly recommend reaching out directly to the wonderful folks at the Walt Disney World Resort.

So, gather your pals, pack your Mickey ears, and get ready for a journey filled with laughter and memories to last a lifetime!
