Is it posible to go AK (8:00am) in morning then go to DTD (Marketplace to shop around 1:00pm) and then back to BOMA for a 4:45pm dinner? DD7 andDD 10 (good to move quickly) How long are travel times between each place? Which busses do I take? Thanks!

    Hi Jana,

Spending the morning at Animal Kingdom, the afternoon shopping downtown and the evening dining at Boma sounds like a great vacation day!  It will probably take you about an hour to get from Animal Kingdom to Downtown Disney and 40 minutes or so to get to Boma.

From Animal Kingdom, you'll want to take the bus to Saratoga Springs.  Then you can either transfer to a ferry or you can also walk if you feel like you have energy to burn.  There is no direct transportation from any of the parks to Downtown Disney.

Once in Downtown Disney, just hop on the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge.  The ride, itself will not take 40 minutes, but you'll want to give yourself a little extra buffer in case you have to wait for your bus.  If you arrive early, spend a few minutes exploring the lobby or walk out on the terrace to view the savanna.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
