    Our ports appear to allow us about 5 hrs in Grand Caymen. How does the travel to excursions work? Is that time figured into the number of hrs on the excurion plan on the website? Don't want to do only 1 thing. With 4 kids they all have a different plan.

    Thanks so much for your question.  I love to share information with guests regarding Disney Cruise Line!

    Port adventures booked through Disney Cruise Line are incredibly convenient and hassle-free.  If you book your port adventure before you sail, excursion documents will be delivered to your stateroom early in your cruise. These vouchers verify that you are signed up for specific port adventures according to Disney Cruise Line records.  Check your vouchers and your Personal Navigator for details regarding your shore excursions.  You will be told where and when to meet on the ship and then Disney will provide transportation to the location of your excursion.  That's how it worked when my family took advantage of various shore excursions while sailing on the Disney Dream in March.  We were transported by a very comfortable shuttle service to our destination.  Then we were told where we could pick up our return shuttle back to the ship.

    If the excursion is scheduled to last five hours while you are in Grand Cayman, your travel time to and from the your destination may very well be included in that time.  It would be a good idea to manage your children's expectations regarding the port adventure.  You will all see exciting new things and have wonderful experiences but you may not have time to do everything in one afternoon.  I would definitely prioritize the things your family wants to do in advance of your arrival.  That way you'll get to see and do what's most important to you.
