We will be @ Port Orleans for a week in May. This is the first time for all of us. We have a daughter that is 4. We are so overwhelmed with what to plan or how to use the Fast Pass. Any suggestions or what you would recommend? Have 3 day with park hopper.

    Hello, Renee,

I'm so excited for you planning your first trip to Walt Disney World, and we are to here to help as we all know how overwhelming a first trip can be to plan.

You may find the easiest way to plan your day and when to make your fastpass+ reservations is by turning to my go-to website The website offers you a large assortment of plans to guide you through the order to visit different attractions at the parks to make sure you see the must-sees and reduce your wait in line. It will also include within the plans when you should make your fastpass+ reservations. The touring plans are geared for different guests, too, and there is one for traveling with small children. While there is a nominal cost for this website, I think is a worthwhile investment.

You may also want to take a look the Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones guide that Walt Disney World has created for guests. And just checking, if you are hoping to dine at any table service restaurants, including character dining, have you made your reservations?  If not, you can do that online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE. When the window opens for you to make your fastpass+ reservations, I'd try to do that as soon as possible, too, as some attractions fill up quickly. I'd like to also suggest visiting the Disney Parks Blog as your trip approaches to keep updated on news and happenings at the parks.

And of course, if you have any more questions, please let us know.  Wishing you a magical trip!
