Port Orleans Riverside vs. Caribbean Beach Resort? Ages: 21 mo, 4, 30, 35, 55, 56. Two rooms. Can you see fireworks? Thanks moms. Y'all are the best!

    Laurie:

Let's start with the good news: either resort, Port Orleans Riverside or Caribbean Beach Resort gets a thumbs up from me if you're staying in warm weather to enjoy their pools. If you don't plan on spending at least one afternoon to soak up the water/fun station at CBR's Pirate Ship-themed pool, though, with the children, I'd recommend Port Orleans Riverside. With two really young children, either pool is fine so the tie-breaker for me is what the adults will enjoy. And, hands-down, the boat ride to Downtown Disney from Port Orleans makes it pretty special.

Now the bad news: there aren't any fireworks views from either resort. But you can see the Magic Kingdom's display from the Polynesian Beach and Epcot's fireworks from the Boardwalk. Access to both are free!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
