in Port Orleans Riverside is Oak Manor room 9029 a preferred or standard location room please?

Hello, Kate! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you're here! I love planning Disney vacations for my family and helping others plan theirs!

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is a stunning place to stay when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. The rooms are housed in stately mansions that sit along the southern bayou. It's sort of like stepping back in time in the American South. The landscaping is charming, and the atmosphere is peaceful.

Room 9029 is actually neither a standard room nor a preferred room. It is in its own special category: Royal Guest Rooms. These rooms are found in buildings 90 and 95 in the Magnolia Bend side of the resort and are royally themed. Some guests refer to them as "princess rooms" because they have accents and furnishings inspired by several Disney Princess movies. They are the size of a standard room and sleep four.

While you are staying at Port Orleans - Riverside, I hope you'll head to River Roost one evening and catch a show with Yehaa Bob Jackson. He's there on select nights with a family-friendly show that includes sing-alongs and a little silliness. The drinks are great, and you can get an order of Andouille Nachos to share. It's a lot of fun! Later, you can take the boat or walk over to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. Head to Scat Cat's Club - Cafe and get an order of Mickey Beignets. Grab a few extra napkins because they don't skimp on the powdered sugar!

You can also take the water taxi a little farther down the Sassagoula River to Disney Springs. I think it's worth it just for the 15-20 minute scenic journey, but there's so much to do once you arrive! DisneyStyle is one of my favorite stores for souvenirs, but I can never pass up a stop by World of Disney. It's the largest Disney store in the world! Right next door is Amorette's Patisserie. You should definitely go in and take a look! Their desserts are almost too pretty to eat. Almost.

I hope this answers your question, Kate! If there's anything else we can help with here at planDisney, please come back and see us!
