Will Port Orleans Riverside or French Quarter have any extra festivities for New Years Eve?

    Bonjour, Jessica! Welcome to planDisney!

I can’t think of a better place to start 2026 than the Vacation Kingdom of the World. Surrounded by all the magic, celebrating with friends and family, and—since you’ll be at Port Orleans—easy access to Mickey-shaped beignets. What a wonderful way to kick off the new year!

Many Walt Disney World Resort hotels have special New Year’s Eve events. Hotels usually share the schedule of events closer to the holiday, often posted on signs in the lobby or near the pools. You can also get more information by speaking to a Cast Member at the front desk when you arrive.

Port Orleans - French Quarter and Port Orleans - Riverside have hosted celebrations in the past. While they haven’t shared any New Year's info yet, I would expect they will host special activities again.  Based on recent years, both Port Orleans resorts have celebrated with Mickey tie-dye shirt sessions, campfires, and special dance parties. As I mentioned, this info is usually just shared in the hotel lobbies, but you could always check with a helpful Cast Member by calling the Tickets and Hotel Reservations line closer to your arrival date.

As the new year approaches, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about New Year’s activities around Walt Disney World. It’s your best resource for Disney Parks news and updates any time of year.

I hope this information is helpful, Jessica. Don’t hesitate to come back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help.

Laissez bon temps rouler! And Magical travels!
