Hi! Are any of the POR Princess rooms "special need" accessible? We want to stay there. We were never told you had accessible rooms and we have been 3 times and it is hard to move in the rooms...HELP!!!! Thanks so much!

    Hi, Roslyn!

All resorts on Disney property have accessible rooms available.  You will want to make sure to include your request for these rooms on your reservation to make sure you have the room you need upon check-in.  If you wait until you arrive for this request, it may be impossible to accommodate.  The more you communicate your needs ahead of time, the more the cast members will make your stay more comfortable.  Read HERE for more information.

There are accessible rooms at Port Orleans Riverside in the Royal Rooms.  I was able to find some photos:  (Cut and paste link into your browser.)

I would make my reservation by phone at (407)W-DISNEY.  Make sure to mention you want an accessible Royal Guest Room.  They will check on availability for you.  If they are all booked up, you will be given options for other rooms that will have the accessibility you need.

I hope you get the perfect room for your magical Walt Disney World vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
