Is POR or Pop Century more centrally located to the parks? What is the travel time via Disney transportation to DS and the parks from each of those resorts?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nicholas!

Choosing your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is one of the first steps of planning your vacation and a really important one too! The Resort Hotel you choose sets the tone for what kind of stay you're going to have, and there are so many different options to choose from. You've narrowed it down to two of my favorite places to stay, so I'm happy to walk you through some of the differences between them when it comes to transportation.

You've definitely asked a great question because there are some distinct advantages to each of the Resort Hotels you're looking at and I've enjoyed great stays both of them. Disney's Pop Century Resort is quite close to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, with busses taking around 15 minutes to get to both of those theme parks. Disney's Animal Kingdom is a little bit further away at about a 20-minute bus ride, followed by Magic Kingdom Park, which is about 25 minutes away. This September, you'll be able to pick up a brand new mode of transportation to get to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios when the Disney Skyliner opens this September. Disney's Pop Century Resort will be home to a Disney Skyliner Station, so you'll be able to hop onto a gondola on the grounds of your Resort Hotel and glide through the sky to where you want to go! Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is closer to Disney Springs, and you can even take a boat ride from the Resort Hotel to get there. Since this is a quieter resort that is tucked away a little bit further from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks, I've found that I do spend a little bit longer on the bus when I stay there. Disney's Port Orleans Resort also does not have a central bus stop the way that Disney's Pop Century Resort does, so you may also spend a little bit of time on the bus collecting other guests from stops around the Resort grounds. There are a lot of moving parts that factor into travel times, so they can be a little bit quicker or take slightly longer due to the flow of traffic.

Make sure to download the My Disney Experience app before you arrive for your vacation because it's going to be a great transportation tool for you to use when you're at Walt Disney World Resort. You can check the app to see when the next bus is arriving to come pick you up, and you can also use it to get step-by-step directions to where you need to go if you're walking somewhere! I've found that it really saves me some time waiting at the bus stop because I'm able to just check the app and time my travel based on that information.

    Have a magical day, Nicholas!
