Going to be at POR in Nov/Dec, will be over at FW for dinner 1 night. Thinking about doing a carriage ride at FW, can you tell me when they change from the carriage to the sleigh? Its a $29 difference and not sure if we want to pay the upcharge! TY

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Judy! There is so much wintery fun to be had at Walt Disney World Resort in November and December; I’m sure you will be as jolly as Santa himself!

You’ll be so happy to hear that although sleigh rides are available in the month of December at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground, the traditional carriage rides are still available, too! I highly recommend either of them, depending on what your taste and budget allows. You’ll also want to book ahead, especially if you are interested in the sleighs; they are often booked up and it’s hard to come by during the day-of. You can reserve one by calling (407) 939-7529 and speaking with a Cast Member.

There’s plenty of holiday fun to be had around the Parks, especially at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, so if you’re planning to go, please be sure to purchase tickets in advance and prep your ugly sweater T-shirts for the trip. You can also munch beautiful sugar cookies and hot cocoa at the party while you watch snow fall on Main Street, U.S.A. Don’t forget to snag the collectible Sorcerer’s of the Magic Kingdom cards just as the clock strikes 7pm and you enter the party. We’ll see ya real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
