Ahoy Jill –
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your exciting Halloween on the High Seas cruise of the Canadian Coastline is coming up really soon, and you must be thrilled! I am pleased to do what I can to help you with planning a magical vacation. Honestly, I have never sailed this itinerary so I asked my friends at Disney Cruise Line and did some detective work to help you out.
Halifax is a lovely city that many cruisers enjoy exploring either in a group or alone. I suggest that you consider one of the many City Tours available - try
Essential Halifax for the most flexibility. Some of them have lunch and walking portions for optimal exploration.
Peggy’s Cove is also a fabulous place to visit to see postcard perfect lighthouses along the shore. Saint John’s is popular for nature loving cruisers, and you have a choice of whale watching, kayaking and hiking. If you do not want feel close to nature, then consider hopping aboard a
Trolley or a Bus like
Big Pink Sightseeing Tours.
Now the weather in coastal Canada in October will have an average high in the mid 50’s (Fahrenheit) and lows in the 40’s. For a Texan like me, that is mighty cold so I would definitely suggest layering your outfits with sweaters and jackets. Jill, thanks for stopping by for a visit and I hope you have fun on your trip!
