Hey there Jasmine! We appreciate you dropping by planDisney to ask your question. I love all things food at Disneyland Resort and I would love to answer your question.
Popcorn is my number one favorite snack at Disneyland Resort. Unfortunately, popcorn refills have not been a thing at Disneyland Resort for quite a while. The last time I was able to take advantage of a refill bucket was probably three years ago and it was exclusively for annual passholders. There are plenty of cute popcorn buckets available between the two parts still, they just don't have free refills or discounted refills. I so wish we had refillable popcorn buckets. I would get one every time! Although, that hasn't stopped us yet from buying more popcorn and refilling our own buckets throughout the day!
While you are grabbing your popcorn keep your eyes peeled for the popcorn people! There are seven wagons throughout Disneyland Park that feature little popcorn people turning the wheel in the wagon. They sometimes will change during the seasons, but some date as far back as 1955, when Disneyland Resort opened. You can find six of these wagons in:
-Frontierland
-New Orleans Square
-"it's a small world"
-Castle Hub
-Fantasyland/Matterhorn
-Tomorrowland
The seventh cart was is in Mickey's Toontown which is currently closed while they reimagine it.
I thought I'd also share a few other snacks that my family and I enjoy. In Disneyland Park, we've been known to make a beignet break with a bag of Mickey-shaped beignets in New Orleans Square. The seasonal flavors are fun to try, but you can't go wrong with the traditional ones. We also love stopping at
Rancho del Zocolo Restaurante for their Crispy Chips con Limón or Cinnamon Crisps. Ok, we usually end up getting both.
At Disney California Adventure Park, we usually end up at
Pym Test Kitchen and you will always find a Quantum Pretzel on our order. It really is the perfect size for my whole family to share. If you need something sweet afterward and like candy bars, the Celestial-sized Candy Bar: Choco-Smash CANDY Bar is really good and REALLY big. It's definitely made for sharing and they actually are handmade at Disneyland Resort.
Jasmine, I know this wasn't the answer you were hoping for, but I don't think you will have any issue finding plenty of snacks on your visit. See you real soon!
Carrie
