I have a popcorn bucket we purchased in May 2017. Will I be able to use it in August 2017 for the $1.50 refill? Thanks.

Hello Lisa!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I remember hearing a friend excitedly talk about the return of the refillable Popcorn bucket promotion returning to the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks last year.

On our preceding visit, I noticed a few kids toting their Star Wars-themed Popcorn Buckets around Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park and that the promotion was listed at every Popcorn Cart we passed on our travels. While I had heard rumors that the promotion was for a limited time and while supplies last and that there were plans to halt it in September 2016 it was still prominent throughout the Theme Parks during my last visit in April 2017.

Having said that, all menu items are subject to change without notice.  This includes the Souvenir Popcorn Bucket with discounted refillable option.

On the menus for Popcorn Carts located throughout Walt Disney World Resort, the Souvenir Popcorn Buckets Refills are listed as being for the length of stay. Popcorn buckets from previous visits are not eligible for the Popcorn Bucket Refill promotion.

I have read that Guests have circumvented this rule and brought popcorn buckets from previous trips and been able to get a refill at the discounted price, however this would appear to be an exception to the rule and not to be expected.

    Have a Pop-tacular Vacation!
