POP VS. POR. That is the question… I am aware there are benefits to upgrading to the moderate resorts, but still not sold on spending the extra money. POP Century looks pretty great too! So I am looking for your insight on a couple of things (love the

    Hi Dan!

If you are never going to be at the hotel, except to sleep, then I would recommend staying at Pop Century.  It has the best food court on Walt Disney World in my opinion and it has one of the best, if not the best, bus services.  There is only one bus stop at Pop Century and it doesn't share a bus with any other hotel.

However, if you're going to spend more time back at the hotel, then I suggest giving it some more thought.  There are a lot more amenities at Port Orleans Riverside, including a Table Service (full service) restaurant for dinner, cane pole fishing, horse and carriage rides, boat service to Downtown Disney, and water craft for rent.  The pool is also much larger, and, in my opinion, a lot more fun with a relatively long water slide.  There are no water slides at any of the Disney Value Resorts.

If you do go with Port Orleans Riverside, I highly recommend the Alligator Bayou section of the resort.  I absolutely love the theming!

    Good luck with your decision!
