I want to pop the question at Epcot, in front of the globe in January 2021. I'm wondering if you can offer any guidance on affordable resorts and deals (under a budget of 2K for 2 adults). My GF and I want to stay at a resort for a week's stay

    Welcome to planDisney, Luis!

Oh, my goodness! Your plan to pop the question at EPCOT gives me goosebumps. There is nothing more magical than witnessing the joy of that moment live, so I cannot wait to help make that dream come true for you!

First: your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. If you select Disney's Pop Century Resort for a one-week January stay with four days of Theme Park tickets, you'll come in just under $2,000. If you opt to stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort in The Little Mermaid Standard Room, you'll spend just over $2,000. Both are absolutely wonderful resorts, so you can't go wrong either way!

Next up? Popping the question! First, check availability of an EPCOT reservation in the Disney Park Pass System on the date you'd like to ask "Will you?" You'll need a Theme Park Ticket plus a park reservation in order to enter EPCOT. Prior to booking your trip, check out this Disney Park Pass Availability calendar to be sure that you can plan that big day without a hitch. (At the time of this writing, the entire month is available! Woo hoo!)

For a once-in-a-lifetime occasion such as this, I highly recommend that you purchase Memory Maker: A Disney PhotoPass Product at least a few days prior to your arrival. This fantastic package entitles you to all of the fabulous Disney PhotoPass photos that are sure to be taken that week, with almost instant downloads that you can share with family and friends right away. On the day you plan to ask, approach a professional photographer who is positioned right in front of Spaceship Earth and ask them to take your picture in front of that gorgeous iconic Disney landmark. They'll direct you where to stand. Pull a fast one and scoot back to the photographer with a bag you "forgot" to leave out of the shot, and mention "I'm going to propose; please get a lot of pics!" At that point, return to your love, pretend to get ready for a typical photo, then shift into proposal mode! (I'm beaming just thinking about it! :-)) You'll have tons of wonderful photos of the big moment, and she won't suspect a thing.

Finally, you may want to book a special Advanced Dining Reservation for that night, knowing that you'll have lots to celebrate. Take a look at Table Service restaurants in EPCOT or Table Service restaurants at the nearby Disney's Boardwalk, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, or Disney's Beach Club Resort. All are within a few minutes' walk of EPCOT and all are super-special places to celebrate an occasion.

As you plan this most spectacular moment, Luis, send additional questions my way; I love to help!
