Can you pop your own popcorn at the resort?

    Hi Heather,

I’m so glad you “popped” into the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question (see what I did there?). Walt Disney World snacking is one of my favorite topics!

Mmmmm…popcorn and Walt Disney World go together deliciously, and I’m happy to tell you that you will be able to pop your own popcorn at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Not all hotel rooms have microwaves, so depending on where you are staying, you may need to walk to your resort’s food court to use the microwave. Family suites at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort include a microwave, as do the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground and the Disney Vacation Club villa rooms. If you’d like to find out if your resort has in-room microwaves, I recommend calling the Guest Reservations line at (407) 939-1936, as those Cast Members are very knowledgeable about room amenities.

Heather, from one popcorn lover to another, I also recommend trying the delicious popcorn in the Walt Disney World theme parks if you have the chance; my family swears it “tastes like magic.” You can often purchase fabulous souvenir popcorn buckets – there was recently an adorable Pluto-shaped bucket! I love to bring the buckets home to use as toy or craft organizers, and my kids also play with them in the pool, sandbox, and even the snow. Keep an eye out for the specialty popcorn flavors that are available in the parks too – so yummy!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
