Is Pop Century or Riverside a better choice for DIsney Marathon Weekend? Which one would have less traffic if riding the Disney busses to the event start? Thanks!

    Hi Janet!

Both resorts are great in their own way!  Obviously, the Value Resort (Pop Century) will be priced lower than the others.  In my experience, the only downside to staying at the Value Resorts is that there are a LOT of runners that do, so therefore all of the lines for the runDisney buses are much longer at them than the moderate and deluxe resorts.

If you choose Pop Century, plan on getting to the bus loading area extra early on race morning.  I try to be on the first bus out no matter what resort I am staying at.  Getting to the starting area before the crowds come in is calming for me!   The bus lines to get back to Pop Century tend to be longer, too.  Especially for runners finishing later in the race day.

The actual traffic won't be much different.  It will be congested around the race areas, but open up closer to the resorts.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
