Pop Century or POR? Worth it to spend the extra $? Would have to have one kid sleep w/my parents if PC. Also, is a preferred room better at PC? Planning for April'11! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Hi Heather!  This is always a tough dilemma for the guests.  My question to you would be how much time do you think you will spend at your resort?  If you are simply using the resort room to rest your heads at night then save your money and stay at Pop Century.  If you hope to use the resort to use some amenities and recreation then Port Orleans is the better choice since you have more to choose from.

I will say that I stayed in Pop Century this past June and loved my experience. I found the resort quite charming with its themeing and loved the food court. It will remain my recommendation for a value resort to any future guests.

The moderate resorts will also have a slightly better location meaning your travel time to parks will be a little less.  At Port Orleans you even have the choice to take a boat to Downtown Disney for dining and fun or even to just catch buses from that location.

Sometimes having two rooms is better then shoving everyone into one room as space for closets and drawers can be at a minimum. It is something to consider.

I have listed pros and cons and for me it comes down to how much time will you spend in your room. What kinds of things would you be able to do if you saved your money by staying in a value?  Perhaps you could treat the entire family to a Fireworks Cruise one night or take in the awesome Cirque Du Soleil show in Downtown Disney. You have chosen great resort choices for your stay!
