Greetings, Lourdes, and welcome to planDisney! Visiting the Disneyland Resort with a little one is such a joy. I've taken my kids since they were babies and have learned a thing or two along the way.
Regarding what is allowed inside the theme parks, it's a good idea to review the list of prohibited items on the
Property Rules webpage. It's regularly updated, so I recommend checking it periodically. Without knowing the details of the container or bags you had during the previous visit, it's difficult to say why there may have been an issue. However, the Cast Members at the security checkpoints do have the discretion to determine whether or not an item can be taken into the theme parks. Typically, you have the option to return prohibited items (such as selfie sticks or oversized bags) to your car or hotel room if security flags them.
Not to worry, though, Lourdes. Many
restrooms inside the theme parks have baby changing stations, and you're welcome to dispose of diapers in the nearby trash receptacles. Personally, I preferred to go to the Baby Care Center whenever possible.
There is a
Baby Care Center in Disneyland at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., and in California Adventure near San Fransokyo Square. For diaper changes, you'll find multiple padded changing tables, a sink with soap to wash your hands, and nearby receptacles for dirty diapers. There are also comfortable seating areas for nursing, high chairs, flushing toddler-sized toilets, a kitchen area with bottle warmers and a sink, and more. There is even a vending machine where you can purchase various items, from diapers and wipes to certain medications and sunscreen. It was such a helpful place to go when my kids were little.
Lourdes, I hope you and your little one have so much fun at the Disneyland Resort. If you think of any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at
planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
