Are the pools at Port Orleans, Riverside closed for refurbishment ?

Hello Carol! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside are two of my family's favorite places to stay at Walt Disney World Resort.

I remember staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside shortly after the Pool at Ol' Man Island was refurbished a while ago and enjoying the Children's Splash Play Area at Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter a week after it re-opened. having said that, I have found no information that these two pools are up for any sort of refurbishments in the near future. It would be a surprise to me since both pools have had such recent refurbishments already.

There are currently "soft goods" refurbishments occurring at the many of the rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, but those are mostly internal and have no effect on external pools. The smaller pools at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside may be refurbished in the near future, but any information I can find has them as a low priority.

Stay posted to the Disney Parks Blog for any future refurbishment news and information. If there is work to be done at Walt Disney World Resort, the Disney Parks Blog is usually the first to announce it.

    Have a Magical Visit!
