Are the pools open year round?

Hey there, Courtney, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let’s dive into the topic of pools at the Walt Disney World Resort!

It may be only March, but it’s already nice and warm here in the Sunshine State, so we're definitely into soaking up the sun right now. And while there are lots of ways to have a blast in the great outdoors at Walt Disney World, a refreshing dip in the pool is most everyone’s favorite!

Fortunately, our warm climate means almost any day is a pool day, so pools at all of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels are indeed open year-round! The pools do close sometimes for scheduled maintenance or severe weather, but you’ll generally be alerted in advance if your Resort hotel is planning a closure.

It looks like you’ll be coming down in early October, which is definitely prime time for the pools! In fact, you may want to make a splash in Disney’s Water Parks. You have two to choose from, including Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. You’ll find at least one of them open year-round as well, so grab your sunscreen and go!

I hope this helps you have a splash-tacular time on your Walt Disney World vacation, Courtney. Float on over again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
