Are the pools open in November

    Hiya Candy!

Welcome to planDisney! I love heading to Walt Disney World Resort during the winter months as it's almost always warm in Florida. It's called "The Sunshine State" for a reason! November is a great time to visit as the evenings get a bit cooler while the days are still warm.

Luckily for you, you will find your Walt Disney World Resort pool to be open and operating pending any planned refurbishments, pool contamination moments, or scary forces of nature such as storms, freezing conditions, or nearby lightning strikes. The best part is that Disney Resort pools are heated to around 82°F so it is not a traumatic splash. However, as a warning, sometimes the worst part is getting out of the pool and feeling the cold air hit your body. Don't worry! Every pool area at the Resorts has complimentary towels that you can use to stay warm and dry.

Always make sure to check out the Recreation board or confirm with Cast Members at the Front Desk for any updates. Also, while checking out the Recreation board you may see some fun events that are either free or a small cost. One of my favorite activities is to see a Movie Under the Stars with my family.

I hope this helps and if you have any more questions feel free to let me know directly.

    Happy Planning!

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
