Are the pools at the grand California salt water

Greetings, Kathy, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your September visit to the Happiest Place on Earth will be here before you know it, and I couldn’t be more excited for you!

Staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels is truly a magical experience. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is such a treat! I checked with a Cast Member, and was told that none of the pools at the Grand Californian have salt water. However, I can tell you that there’s a perfect pool for every Guest at this beautiful hotel! The Redwood Pool is probably my family’s favorite, since it features a 90-foot-long waterslide that curves around the stump of a Redwood tree! There’s also a miniature slide in the corner of this pool for little Mouseketeers who aren’t ready for the larger waterslide just yet. As the mom of three little ones, I also love the Mickey Mouse-shaped Children’s Pool nearby. The Fountain Pool, known for its artisan-crafted turtle fountain, is a great pool for the whole family. I love the trees, stone walls, and rocky boulders that create such a beautiful setting. Lastly, the Mariposa Pool is the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day in the theme parks. This leisure pool is tranquil and relaxing, and perfect for adults or families who want a serene setting. There are also private poolside cabanas available to rent near this pool.

Perhaps the best part of the pool area at the Grand Californian is the brand-new GCH Craftsman Bar, which is a beautiful addition to the hotel! I love the spacious, al fresco setting, perfect for a glass of wine and artisanal pizza.

Speaking of eating, have you thought about where to dine during your upcoming stay? You can book dining reservations online or on the Disneyland app. Storytellers Cafe is a delicious choice, especially for the Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet! Or, for an unforgettable fine-dining experience, you won’t want to miss Napa Rose.

I hope this helps as you plan your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort! Please stop by with any additional questions you may have… I’m all EARs!
