Hiya, Debbie—thank you for splashing by planDisney to ask about the
pools at the Disneyland Hotel. Who doesn’t love a nice dip in the pool after a nice adventure in the parks? It's the perfect way to unwind and soak up those magical Disneyland vibes!
Speaking of vibes, I absolutely adore the pools at the Disneyland Hotel! Even their names—the E-Ticket Pool and the D-Ticket Pool—bring back that classic Disneyland charm. It's like taking a trip back in time to the golden age of Disneyland! And, you’ll be happy to hear that the pools at the Disneyland Hotel are heated! So even if there's a bit of a chill in the air (which can happen in Southern California, even in the land of sunshine!), you can still enjoy a refreshing swim.
Now, if you're looking for some extra relaxation, be sure to check out the Mickey and Minnie whirlpool spas! They're located on either end of the pool area, and they're the perfect place to let your cares melt away. But as for me? I'm not one to sit still for long! You'll probably find me zooming down one of the Monorail waterslides at the E-Ticket pool. Just a heads up though—the waterslides are currently closed for refurbishment, but they're scheduled to reopen on January 25th, 2025. So if you're visiting after that, get ready for a splashing good time! And don't worry, if you've got little ones, they can join in the fun too! There's a mini slide that's perfect for them to make a splash.
If all the action has you feeling a bit hungry, you can grab a bite to eat poolside with tasty food and drinks from
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and
Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill at select times throughout the day. I’m a big fan of the Polynesian vibes that both offer, and the tasty food is a perfect complement to a day at the pool.
Of course, there's more to the Disneyland Hotel than just the pools. I'm a huge fan of
Disney's Fantasia Shop—it has a great selection of Disney souvenirs! Although I usually find myself in the store several times during my visit, one pro tip I learned is that I can fill all of those extra spaces in my suitcase with unique Disney souvenirs as I head out. It’s like that extra space was made to squeeze in a pair of
Jungle Cruise socks!
And Debbie, although it sounds like you’ll be staying at the Disneyland Hotel, keep in mind that the other Disneyland Resort hotels have fantastic pools too!
Pixar Place Hotel and
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa both have amazing pools that are heated year-round. Just a heads up though, the pool deck at Pixar Place Hotel will be closed for refurbishment starting February 3rd, 2025. But don't worry, you can still catch the fireworks from there on select nights!
Have a magical vacation, Debbie! And don't forget to pack your sunscreen!
