Hi there, Mariah!
I'm so glad you brought your question to us at planDisney. Give me some fin!
The theming of the
pools at Disney's Art of Animation Resort is truly iconic. Who doesn't want to ride the current with Squirt, make a splash with Ariel, or park it in the sunshine of Radiator Springs? While The Big Blue Pool (Art of Animation's feature pool and the LARGEST pool in all of Walt Disney World Resort) features an eco-friendly, saltwater filtration system that allows Walt Disney World to forego the use of chemicals, the Cozy Cone Pool and Flippin' Fins Pool are chlorinated. If you have more specific questions about the chemical composition of a pool before you dive in, I suggest inquiring directly with the lifeguards of your Disney Resort hotel.
As a Guest of Art of Animation don't forget that you can swing into EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios aboard the
Disney Skyliner. While there can be a bit of a line for this fun and convenient mode of transportation in the mornings, don't let that deter you. In my experience, Cast Members are incredibly efficient at loading and unloading Guests from the gondolas, so the line moves quite quickly. If you happen to find yourself high in the sky at night, be sure to keep an eye out for fireworks!
My pal Jen's little girls still rave about the 'VIP view' of EPCOT's nighttime spectacular years later.
I hope this was helpful, Mariah, and that you're ready to dip your toes in the magic of Walt Disney World Resort at the end of the summer. If any additional questions arise between now and then, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
