    We have a Pool View room booked at Port Orleans Riverside. We would love to add a king bed / preferred location option but that was not a choice available to us at the time of booking. Can we upgrade to a pool view / king bed / preferred location room?

    The one thing I have learned with planning our trips to Walt Disney World is to keep trying if things don't work out the first time. When I am unable to find an available reservation at one of our favorite restaurants, I continue to check back regularly and am often surprised to find an opening later on.  While it doesn't work all of the time, it does enough that I'll always give it a try when possible.

    I'm hoping that you could be in a similar situation with the specific room you are looking for at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.  I'd continue to call Walt Disney World at (407) 939-5277 every so often and inquire about the availability of the pool view/king bed/preferred location room. And if all else fails, you can check on the specific room when you check-in at the resort.
