are pool toys allowed at the Disney resort hotel pools?

    Hi Lia! Welcome to planDisney.

There is just something extra magical about the pools at Disney Resorts Collection hotels. From the fun theming to the great music and recreational activities to the amazing feeling of dipping your tired feet into the water after adventuring in the theme parks - it's just fin-tastic!

My family got home last week from our summer vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort, and we stayed at two Disney hotels during our visit. That's double the pool fun! We noticed lots of families tossing small water-friendly footballs, diving for rings, and swimming with masks, goggles, and floaties.

The rule for bringing your own pool toys at Walt Disney World Resort hotels is that they may not obstruct the lifeguards' view. Use of pool toys is at the discretion of the lifeguards and recreation staff; if the pool is busy, they may ask you to leave the toys by your chairs. Complimentary life vests are available for Guest use at each pool; these are located poolside and come in a variety of sizes.

Lia, I always recommend taking a look at the Park Rules in advance of any visit, as these can help with determining what to pack and how to plan. Your pals here at planDisney are also happy to help with any additional questions you might have as you plan and dream, so please feel free to swim on back!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
