Are pool noodles still allowed at Disney Resort pools? I understand that Non-Coast Guard approved flotation devices or swim noodles are not allowed at any water park based on the park rules but it does not mention the resort pools. Thank you!

    Hi, Myenna! Welcome to planDisney.

The pools at the Disney Resort hotels are the best! Whether you're enjoying the Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort or soaking up the tropical vibes at the Lava Pool at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (a.k.a my happy place), each pool has its own enchanting theme and relaxing atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to take a mid-day break from the parks or wind down after a day full of Disney fun.

You’re absolutely right that pool noodles and other non-Coast Guard-approved flotation devices aren’t permitted at the Disney Water Parks. However, the resort hotel pools are a little more relaxed. Whilst policies can vary slightly from one resort to another (and are ultimately up to the discretion of the lifeguards on duty), in general, pool noodles are allowed at Disney Resort hotel pools, as long as they're used responsibly and don’t interfere with other Guests' enjoyment.

One tip: If you're bringing little ones, you're welcome to use the life jackets, which are complimentary and available in a variety of sizes at all Disney Resort hotel pools! That way, you can float through your vacation with a little extra peace of mind.
