Hello there Julie,
Welcome back to planDisney and thank you for your question! I'm so glad to hear that you're planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort for later this year, and it sounds like you might be considering a stay at one of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort - how exciting!
You asked a really great question that I did not know the answer to off the top of my head, so I called the Disneyland Hotel and spoke to a Cast Member who informed me that floatation devices are not allowed at
Disneyland Resort hotels since they can obstruct the view of the lifeguards to the bottom of the pool. The only flotation devices that are allowed are infant pool float seats.
However, I'm a huge fan of Disneyland Resort hotels, and rest assured that there are plenty of ways to relax when visiting
one of the pools including plenty of lounge chairs, whirlpool spa areas, or even a
poolside cabana for an added feed.
It looks like you'll be visiting during the
Halloween season, so make sure to also keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog to see what other fun extras you'll get to experience during your trip. It's such a great time of year to visit!
Thanks again for your question, Julie, and have a great trip to the Disneyland Resort.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
