Hi Donna,
Thank you for sending your question to planDisney. The moment I start thinking about the Magic Kingdom fireworks I am all smiles. I just love them so much! And did you know that when you are visiting,
Happily Ever After will have returned to the Magic Kingdom? This show is a beloved favorite with guests and sure to make you all smiles, too.
If I were going from
Disney's Wilderness Lodge to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, I would travel by boat from Disney's Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom. Once there, it is very easy to transfer to the boat that is going to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and I find this ride pleasant and enjoyable in the smaller water taxis.
If you'd prefer, however, it is a short walk to the resort monorails from the Magic Kingdom boat launch area. It is nice to experience both modes of transportation, and you'll be able to walk through the Polynesian lobby which is lovely. You could even stop at
Pineapple Lanai for a yummy DOLE Whip® to enjoy during the fireworks. I'd also encourage you to stay after the fireworks to catch the
Electrical Water Pageant, which is a lighted musical parade on the water (it can also be seen from Disney's Wilderness Lodge).
By the way, did you know you can see the fireworks from Disney's Wilderness Lodge? There is seating outside the
Geyser Point Bar & Grill near Bay Lake. It is a beautiful place to watch the fireworks above the trees, and it is rarely crowded. The music is also played so you won't miss it either. It is one of my favorite spots to watch the fireworks.
Wishing you a magical trip! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Kara
